The database includes:
- a central database of over 76,000 records, each representing a single glyph block, coded for spatial, temporal, , and linguistic information
- a sign list of unique graphemes that includes references to decipherments and lexical sources
- a bibliography of sources for texts, images, and linguistic material (in Zotero)
- a list of geographic coordinates for over 250 archaeological sites with hieroglyphic texts
Several proposals to fund programming the database for use on the internet have been submitted. The target date for making it available on-line is 2018.
